But I've got good news: Jungkook has heard the fan chants, and the video of BTS' Jungkook reacting to ARMYs' "Euphoria" fan chant will make you scream. Although they've been pretty loud the past few BTS tours, they don't know if they've been so loud that they've gotten past Jungkook's in-ear monitors, which practically block out all other sounds other than BTS' sweet, sweet vocals. Usually, fan chants are created by the group's labels themselves so that they fit perfectly with the timing and beat of a song, but occasionally, fans create their own, like the BTS ARMY has done for Jungkook's solo song, "Euphoria." Up until now, fans have been wondering if Jungkook has been aware of the chants made for his song. Besides light sticks, they are the one other aspect of K-Pop concerts that really brings fans together as a community.
This post is long overdue, I've been meaning to write it since forever but just hadn't gotten around to it until now.You can't have K-Pop without fan chants, like, it's practically impossible. Lol ok so this entire post has just been me gushing over Jungkook and, well, EVERYTHING, and I don't know whether to laugh or cringe. I love it, I'm not okay, and it is best life.Īlso I sometimes wonder what it'd be like for a fan who'd never seen a euphoria performance before to just go to a concert and suddenly see their idol literally flying above their head. Summary: Jungkook is the most beautiful angel on this planet. While Moon makes my heart feel so full, Euphoria makes me feel so incredibly lighthearted. Jungkook's Euphoria feels almost like an escape from the real world, where all my worries leave me and a breeze carries my heart away into the sky, where I only feel unmeasured joy and elation in an endless utopia. Jin's performance feels like a magical yet familiar place of comfort that I can just sink into during hard times, yet despite feeling so warm, it also carries a faint tinge of melancholy. Both of these performances are so unbelievably close to my heart, but in slightly different ways.
I gotta mention Moon at least once in this post- it's the only performance ever that even comes close to rivaling Euphoria. Oh help me, my heart is threatening to fly away at any moment now.
At least Jungkook actually looks good when he smiles and waves like that. I'll admit that I subconciously wave back at the screen every time he looks into the camera or waves at the crowd, and I most definitely look like an idiot, but I can't help it, I'm literally on cloud 9 and have no business even worrying about anything important at this point. Though maybe that's not so accurate since I'd literally be half scared to death and shit my pants if I actually were up that high, but regardless. Jungkook carries such youthful, completely unrestrained exhilaration when he's flying, it just makes me so unbelievably happy that when he smiles, I feel like my heart has just evaporated and is soaring through the clouds along with him. And his smile, dear lord help me, he's so incredibly amazing and beautiful in every way possible and oh god I think I'm in love but anyways that's enough of that. It's just such unrestrained joy that shines through his every movement and smile and is so ridiculously goddamn contagious. Jungkook literally glows with an overwhelming, dreamlike elation while performing this song.
Never have I ever (or at least rarely) seen such raw and genuine happiness in a performance. Jungkook's live performance of Euphoria is undoubtedly one of my favorite BTS performances ever to exist- and that's saying something, because hell knows how many amazing stages BTS have that I absolutely love to pieces, but Euphoria is just so so special, damnit.Įverything in his Euphoria live stages, from the sets to the outfits to the literal motherfcking FLYING over the stadium, just perfectly embodies this song.
